Based on usrp-lwx310 and ubx-lw 160m, we successfully built a 4x4 MIMO system (theoretically, the MIMO system can be expanded to 128 × 128). The system connection diagram is shown in the following figure:
The system implementation principle is shown in the figure below:
1. The host computer carries out source coding, channel coding and digital modulation;
2. The upper computer transmits the data to two usrp-lw x310 through Gigabit switch for further processing: first, conduct digital up conversion, and then convert digital signal into analog signal through DAC transformation;
3. The baseband signal is converted to the specified frequency by the sub board through up conversion, and then the signal is sent out by the antenna;
4. The antenna at the receiving end receives the signal in the electromagnetic environment;
5. The daughter board of the receiving end carries out down conversion of the electrical signal, and the processed signal is converted to analog-to-digital in usrp-lw x310, and then sent to FPGA for digital down conversion, and then the processed data is transmitted to the upper computer through the switch for further processing;
6. The upper computer performs digital modulation, channel decoding and source coding
