SDR-LW 2974 is a High performance embedded SDR stand-alone device, it consist of a onboard processor, FPGA and RF Front-end. The product has built-in Intel i7 processor, 500GB SSD, 16GB memory.
The operating frequency band range from 10MHz to 6GHz, the maximum bandwidth is 160MHz.
It has multipule alternative high-speed interfaces(PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet), as well as a resource-rich,user-programmable Kintex-7 FPGA.
Like all the other USRP devices, this product adopt an open source cross-platform UHD driver, which support most applications and SDR frameworks, such as GNU Radio.
SDR-LW 2974 is an ideal prototype for building a series of advanced research applications, including independent LTE or 802.11 device simulation, medium access control (MAC) algorithm development, multiple input multipult output (MIMO) system, hetergeneous network, LTE transmission, RF compression sampling, spectral remote sensing, congnitive radio beamforming and direction finding.
As the digital processing core of SDR-LW 2974, Xilinx Kintex-7 410T provides direct high-speed connection of all major components, including RF front-end, host interface and DDR3 memory. The default FPGA provides all UHD modules for digital down-conversion and digital up-conversion, fine frequency tuning, and some other DSP funtions. The users can take advantage of the abundant FPGA free space and the development framework by USRP to develop and implement their own DSP processing modules.
