Innovating In-House, Connecting Globally | Luowave Electronics Showcases Its Fully Self-Developed SDR Products at EuMW 2026
From October 6 to 8, the 29th European Microwave Week (EuMW 2026) was held in London, UK. Luowave Electronics made its debut at this European professional technology event, showcasing its AI-series SDR — DEEPSDR 2, and its eight-channel coherent SDR — LW820, comprehensively demonstrating self-developed hardware, drivers, and applications, presenting a complete technical capability from underlying hardware to upper-layer applications.
Debut in Europe, Drawing On-Site Attention
As a representative European professional exhibition in microwave, RF, and radar, EuMW brings together industry, academia, and research institution representatives from around the world. This participation marked Luowave Electronics' first concentrated showcase of its self-developed SDR products and application capabilities on a European professional stage. During the exhibition, customers, research institutions, and industry professionals from multiple countries and regions visited the booth, engaging in discussions on SDR platforms, AI wireless signal processing, multi-channel coherent acquisition, and other directions. Among them, DEEPSDR 2 and LW820 became the products of primary focus on site: the former targets AI applications, deeply integrating SDR with high-performance computing; the latter targets multi-channel coherent applications, featuring an eight-channel RF architecture and the self-developed Luowave Driver as its core.
Self-Developed SDR Products, Showcasing Diverse Application Capabilities
DEEPSDR 2: A New-Generation SDR Platform for AI Applications
DEEPSDR 2 integrates the X410 PRO software-defined radio with the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor edge AI computing module, covering a frequency range of 1 MHz–7.2 GHz, tunable up to 8 GHz, supporting 4T4R full-duplex operation, with up to 400 MHz instantaneous bandwidth per channel, and achieving high-speed interconnection between RF data and edge AI computing via 100GbE QSFP28.
A key on-site demonstration was the drone AI recognition application. Based on a two-stage cascaded recognition scheme combining YOLO and ResNet, with TensorRT-optimized deployment and GPU shared memory zero-copy, it implements a complete pipeline from RF signal acquisition to AI intelligent analysis.
Through live application demonstrations, DEEPSDR 2 further embodies the integrated capability from RF data acquisition to AI intelligent processing, providing a new implementation approach for SDR and AI converged applications.
LW820: Eight-Channel Coherent SDR
LW820 is built on the ADRV9009 and Xilinx UltraScale+ ZU11EG, covering 75 MHz–6 GHz, with up to 200 MHz instantaneous bandwidth per channel, supporting 8 transmit and 8 receive channels, phase synchronization consistency deviation ≤1°, and is designed for multi-channel signal acquisition, array signal processing, and communication R&D applications.
A key on-site demonstration was the multi-channel signal acquisition application. Powered by the self-developed Luowave Driver, it provides a stable, unified multi-channel IQ data interface for upper-layer applications, and supports interoperability with mainstream development environments such as MATLAB and GNU Radio.
Among these, the Luowave Driver, as a self-developed software foundational capability of Luowave Electronics, covers core functions including device control, link management, and IQ data acquisition, providing unified software support for multi-channel SDR application development.
From Self-Developed Products to Self-Developed Applications
At EuMW 2026, Luowave Electronics brought not only two SDR hardware products, but also practical applications built upon its self-developed products.
DEEPSDR 2 demonstrated drone AI recognition, while LW820 demonstrated multi-channel signal acquisition.
From underlying RF hardware, self-developed drivers, to upper-layer software and algorithm applications, Luowave Electronics continues to build a complete technical system of "hardware + driver + software application," extending product capabilities further into practical application scenarios.
From products to applications, from hardware to software, the comprehensive self-development capability enables Luowave Electronics to pursue more flexible development and expansion around different application requirements.
Self-Developed at Heart, Connecting the World
EuMW 2026 marks the first time Luowave Electronics has comprehensively showcased its self-developed SDR products and applications at a European professional exhibition, and represents a significant step for Luowave Electronics in entering the international market.
During the exhibition, customers and industry professionals from multiple countries and regions showed strong interest in Luowave Electronics' self-developed SDR products, engaging in in-depth discussions on product performance, application scenarios, and cooperation directions. Notably, university professors showed interest in small-form-factor SDR for educational applications, satellite communication companies sought to leverage SDR for cutting-edge research, and instrument and meter vendors expressed clear cooperation intentions for multi-channel SDR.
From R&D in China to the international market, Luowave Electronics is continuously expanding global application scenarios with its self-developed products and technologies. Moving forward, Luowave Electronics will continue to invest in R&D around SDR platforms, AI wireless signal processing, multi-channel coherence and intelligent sensing, connecting global customers and partners with self-developed products and technologies, and driving domestic SDR technology into a broader international market. Self-developed at heart, connecting the world.
