Passive positioning system
System principle and function:
The passive positioning system receives the electromagnetic wave signal of the radiation source at multiple receiving points, and calculates the DOA, distance, polarization parameters and frequency of the radiation source by extracting the characteristic parameters of the electromagnetic wave signal at different receiving points. The passive positioning system consists of a single or multiple USRP-LW N321 connected to a PC/host computer and a receiving antenna array, in which each USRP-LW N321 is matched with 2 antennas. When the system works, the antennas are erected by equidistant lines or equidistant arrays. Each antenna receives the electromagnetic wave signal in the environment and transmits it to a different USRP-LW N321 receiving channel. The USRP-LW N321 demodulates the signal of each channel and transmits the obtained digital signal to the host computer. Because different antennas have different angles and distances from the detected signal source, the phase of the electromagnetic wave received by them is different.
The receiving frequency of the system covers 3MHz-6GHz, with a real-time bandwidth of up to 200MHz. Each USRP-LW N321 has two receiving channels, and multiple USRP-LW N321s can achieve high-precision coherent synchronization, so the expansion of the receiving array can be realized, up to 128 * 128 channels, which can greatly improve the positioning accuracy of the radiation source.
System application:
The passive positioning system has high positioning accuracy and can further improve the positioning accuracy by expanding the number of receiving channels. It can be used in the field of national defense and military. It has rich applications in scenarios such as electronic reconnaissance, airspace early warning, sea area monitoring, ground illegal intrusion, and surface ship positioning. It can be used in the field of civil public security. Passive positioning of black flying drones, passive positioning of black broadcasting, passive positioning of pseudo base stations, indoor positioning, unmanned warehouse management, vehicle positioning, underground personnel positioning and other scenarios. The system has the advantages of high precision, flexible configuration, wide coverage band, high scalability and low cost.
